This programme develops key leadership and influencing skills for senior IT professionals, using an emotional intelligence approach. We review how to present concepts to senior executives and influence IT decisions made outside IT. We also look at the specific role of technical innovator and establishing reputation in the wider market.
Corporate politics for IT managers
This programme will put organisational politics into context and demonstrate the importance of building trust using case studies and a ‘political game’. We examine what it takes to achieve long term “political” success and how teams can achieve “win-win” outcomes. This programme is run by Dr Robina Chatham, author of the Corporate Politics for IT Managers.
IT Strategy and Innovation
Strategy is what defines success for an organization. It describes the end destination and the route to get there. IT Leaders is an innovator in the development of IT strategy. This programme enables organizations to develop technology strategy aligned to the business goals, using our best-in-class strategy templates. This course can be run over one or two days and is ideal for team events. The strategy module is practical and relevant and allows the IT team to discuss priorities and options. The innovation module is fun and interactive and ideal promoting new thinking and ideas.
Projects, Programmes & Change
Most organizations have a small number of highly significant programmes and a larger number of relatively small projects. This course looks at different techniques that are needed to manage both of these. We look at developing a checklist for delivering successful projects with an opportunity to identify what can be improved going forward.
Negotiation & Sourcing
This 1-day course provides an overview for IT managers to create better deals for the company, improving existing contracts and negotiating new ones. Our research suggests that fewer than 20% of IT managers have had any formal negotiation training. Given that many are working with substantial IT budgets, the opportunities are significant. Attendees will acquire an understanding of leading negotiation techniques and strategy. We also examine the components of successful contracts that create a ‘win-win’ for customers and suppliers.

This programme is designed to help teams develop a common identity and to work more effectively across country, language, cultural and time boundaries. This is a 2-day programme was originally developed for technology organizations, but is now available as a generic international team building programme.
